Meregill: Above the canyon

On a quick evening trip to the bottom of the Canyon today, spotted a rope going up at the end of the Canyon roof traverse. Didn't bother having a proper look up, but it definitely went up at least 5m or so. Anyone know where it goes/who put it there/how old the rope or hangers are?

Also, some pitches in there are currently being left rigged for an ongoing project, if you want more information about them, please get in touch with me! I will say it's impressively drippy in there at the moment...

I enjoyed a trip down Meregill last saturday. Also very wet, noisy and dramatic. I noticed that rope also and I'm sure it was there years ago so I'd be slightly suspicious of the anchors. In these situations it's always best to send someone else up first
