MNRC Survey of Swildon's Hole

Can some kind soul give me the date of this survey, please? It's a bit confusing, as it seems to end in a choke at Point H, and I'm sure it had a sumpy thing the last time I was down there. Unfortunately, I have lent out my copy of the Swildon's book, and can't check it out for myself.

Indeed, the point marked H is in fact Sump 1.

MNRC (Maj's club) formed in 1906. Cave first entered in 1901 by Wells natural history and archaeological society, sump reached in August 1921, but not successfully dived until 1936. Dates written on the survey are from July (descending the old 40) to November (upper grottos) 1921.

Thanks. I saw the 1921 date, but I was wondering when the survey was published. It doesn't obviously appear in the MCRA bibliography of Swildon's Hole, although it may be associated with one of the MNRC reports of the time.

It's certainly around that time, but if one was included in a report then it should say survey amongst the Biblio details (& earliest listed for MNRC was 1963 - which definitely isn't same section of cave)

The Nov 12 (1921) grottoes are presumably tratmans temple etc, so not quite in the right position (it does say approximate) - plus labelled Lower (New) Series!

Absolutely, although my notes do say 'reputedly', until verification may arrive.
