A quick update that felt worthy of a new thread.
On Monday 18th, after a night of heavy rain, Molly and Steve climbed GG Rider.
Steve entered via Bar Pot while Molly, still recovering from a hamstring injury, wanted to stay fresh for the climb itself and met Steve at the base. The force of the water was so great that the climb almost didn't happen but, after a delay of a few hours, the climbers decided the water levels had reduced enough that they were happy to push on.
The pair completed the route in around five hours, with five camera operators covering roughly 20 positions throughout the system to capture the ascent.
A lot of people to thank: the entire production crew (all volunteers), Yorkshire Dales Guides for keeping the shoot safe, of course the climbers themselves, everyone at the shakehole/BPC winch meet (the hospitality was incredible) and everyone who has taken a phone call/email or message from me and given your time to help me understand GG a little better.

) Thanks to the BPC for their hospitality and positive “can do” attitude, and for allowing a “foreigner” in your “refreshment tent” for a very enjoyable cold drink at the end of a long day.
