The website has just been launched www.namhoconference.org.uk/apart from a good selection of talks, there is an excellent programme of surface and underground tours. These include Winch trips into Snailbeach, trips into Huglith, Scott Level and Crickheath Mine (normally locked due to being an important Bat Roost)

You don't need to be a member of a NAMHO Organisation to join in the fun but BCA insurance is a requirement however for a small fee 17 days cover is included in the package.

Of the talks, well known figures such as George Hall, Roy Fellows, Simon Hughes, Goon , Peter Burgess, Dave Linton plus a number of others still to be confirmed will be there

Trips will fill quickly so get your bookings in early there may be a chance of additional visits being added if these fill up, all the details are shown on the website

Tony Seddon of Starless River  has confirmed they will have a stand for all your gear requirements, Roy fellows will be displaying his lamps and we are waiting to confirm other traders too

Hope to see you all there

Mike

I apologise for being very pedantic, but it is important to stress that what you are getting is 17 days' temporary BCA membership (which happens to include third-party insurance). For legal reasons BCA cannot (and does not) sell insurance, as such. What we sell is membership, a benefit of which is insurance. [/geeky moment]

Damien,

Apologies on that I understand the mechanics of this - my post was intended as a simple sign post to the website and a comment to make sure no one is put off by the requirements.

Mike

We have had a flurry of early bookings which is good news and thanks for your support, many of the underground trips are filling very quickly although there are plenty of spaces left.

The line up of speakers is now confirmed and there are excellent talks planned throughout the weekend to compensate for this some of the underground trips are being repeated on Monday and tuesday
