• Help us work out the future of the Inglesport Café

We've been trading since 1977 and next year will be our 50th anniversary.

The café has been part of that for a long time, running quietly in the background for years, and we don't think it always gets the credit it deserves as a genuine community hub. But we need to be straight with you: the café is under real pressure, and we’re not sure of the best path forward.....

New Rigging Topos - April 2026

DCA

Well-known member
DCA volunteer installers have been active in a couple of caves recently and we've published two new rigging topos.

Eyam Dale House Cave has had 2 more deviations placed. Use of all the deviations removes the rope rub from the entrance shaft. They can be rigged with very short slings or climber's quickdraws.

Nickergrove Mine has had a new rebelay placed under the lid of Didsbury Shaft to reduce the rope rub from the lid frame and allow the lid to be closed while rigged. The anchor in the side level of the Internal Shaft was reported loose, and has been replaced with a pair of new anchors. As you might have seen in another thread here, the wire and ring pull-through assembly has been upgraded to one of the new DCA chain setups. The whole topo for the mine has been redrawn to show all the DCA anchors.
