Nirvana is on our meets list for Saturday. I'm not expecting spiritual enlightenment, but I've always fancied seeing the pretties.

But as the entrance is in the riverbed, I imagine it's fairly sensitive to rain.
At the moment, it's due to be wet on Thursday, dry on Friday, and slightly damp on Saturday.

Can anyone with local knowledge advise whether a Saturday visit would be on?

Thanks Sam. Yes, Saturday now looks much wetter than when I last looked. Another time....

Hmm even if it is dry, if it's the entrance I am thinking about, I don't think you can get in. I could not find the entrance when I looked earlier, I think it was buried somewhere under the riverbed.

The entrance is on the right on the ledge down Black Dub gorge before dropping down to the pool at stream level. It is small and presents a tight twisting entrance leading immediately to the first 12 ft drop.
The cave can be entered when the river is running at low levels but not if the weather indicated further rain. It is more a case of if the river rises you will not be able to get back out.
