Please could i have suggestions for a beginner caving in the Peaks.

Im into the spicier trips so im not offay with the easier trips.
So im looking for non SRT.

She has done devonshire and giants to garlands and a bit of the upper passages.
Carlswalk might be ok

Bagshawe is quite pleasant, you can get key code details from https://peakdistrictcaving.info/home/the-caves/bradwell/bagshawe-cavern

Wapping Mine in Matlock Bath maybe.

When Caving Supplies was going, you could have hired a single ladder and done P8 with no srt.
Surely you need 2 ladders to get to the bottom of p8? And the 2nd pitch curving over the stal boss is pain on a ladder. You could do Giants with just 1.

Not much that isn't vertical. As above Jugg Holes can spend a while rootling about, and the other mines.

I was actually thinking, as an slightly unlikely and outside possibility of that maybe this weekend and was wondering about hiring a ladder for P8 or Garlands for 2 non srt folk. Noted your comment: the hire option is no more 😟

I've taken many people on the giants round trip as their first caving trip, they (mostly) enjoyed it, all you need is one ladder on Garlands and a travelling rope to rig an abseil to redescend to the crabwalk, both are pretty non-technical. I'd say this is one of the better Peak caving trips, way more interesting than Bagshawe without a doubt, and for context people do Swildons to Sump 2 as a first cave pretty regularly which I'd argue is a much more intimidating outing for a beginner

You know where we are too - it's not like ladders are flying out every weekend ;)

It shouldn't be under-estimated just how tiring it can be for a beginner though. Easily 4-5 hour trip, wet and probably cold for much of it.
