We’re pleased to publish our 17th newsletter (June 2025).

We well as providing a compilation of all news related to anchoring, conservation, training and access from the last six months, we also have some bespoke articles looking at the recent Dartmoor ruling, work to restore access to North End Pot, and a spotlight on an overlooked Scottish cave. There’s also plenty of other northern caving news included too.

Thanks as always to those who have organised events, undertaken the work, and submitted stories and photos, and to our training workshop attendees for sharing their feedback.

The newsletter is available to download via our website:

Paper copies will also be posted out to all club huts and other regular recipients in the coming week (or handed over at our meeting this Saturday). You will find them available to read or take away at Inglesport, and we will have copies available at Hidden Earth in September too.

In particular, we’d like to draw your attention to the advert on page four for the upcoming Ease Gill Open House event, which starts this Friday – we’ve been rushing to get the newsletter out while this advert is still relevant, and we wish RRCPC every success.

Happy caving!

Printed copies of the newsletter are off the press, and on their way to club huts outside of our region and other usual locations.

For northern clubs with huts, please collect these at our meeting on Saturday (9:30am, Clapham Village Hall) if possible to save postage.

Do you know any local venues who would be happy to showcase our newsletters and where the content may be of interest to the visitors? If so, please feel free to collect a few copies to take to them, or pass on their details for postage.
