Open access areas closed (temporary)

Bits of the white peak (and likely soon the dark peak) are being closed due to wildfire risk.

There's a map here which is quite hard to read, not sure how much it affects various caves

Understandable.

Signs up driving to Chapel Le Dale this morning warning against BBQ's and starting fires etc.

It's bad enough in The Dales, so wish it would rain across the whole country.

Eldon is in the biggest one towards the top. Then Winnats pass and the north side of pindale are also included. Anything else I have no idea about

Looks like Mouldridge is affected, but as a popular group venue I guess the providers are aware?

Having just got back from working on the hill at Longcliffe, I can assure that there are no signs saying it's closed, and loads of people out walking there. We didn't know it was closed either.

On the BMC post about it they state it doesn’t effect footpaths and bridlesways etc that run through the access land.

Or private agreements with the landowner, it's purely the access land

I imagine most landowners would be fine. No carbide though
