P8 31st October

Hi all,

This Saturday we're having another crack at sorting out the end of P8.

As always, the support I've received from the caving community is unreal! So far I've got 5/6 dry cavers and 4/5 divers willing to help.

This is just a general appeal to anyone who may wish to lend a hand or wants to see how divers go on, or just wants a trip out!

We could use a few more dry cavers just for a hand getting stuff down. It's not fair to ask people to wait for the amount of time we'll be beyond the sumps.

We'll be at the TSG at about 9am Saturday for anyone interested, or just PM me on here!

Hope it all goes well Ash! Id actually considered bitching for you this weekend but unfortunately im apparently babysitting my kids (although my wife says that's known as being a parent, not babysitting).

We'll have to get out caving again soon, preferably with the use of a natural supply of air rather than having to tin it first 😄

P8 was a lot quieter today!

Hi all,

A strong team turned out with Ant Bury, Chris Armstrong, Dave Watts, Josh Bratchley and myself diving.
Andy Clough, Darren Jarvis, Ellen Cooper and Luke Cafferty turned out to carry.

After a very faffy morning we set off down, and went off diving, to find it flooded quite badly before sump 4. The cave is unpassable in these conditions

Still a very fun day with a few objectives accomplished and many of the individuals involved pulling out all the stops to help in anyway possible. I was going to thank these individuals naming them, but realised it would be the whole group listed again!
