This is going to be investigated/sorted subject to approved anchor installer/extracting equipment availability and the weather with a provisional date set as the 8th December.

Could all cavers please report any loose/defective BCA resin bonded anchors within this caving region directly to the Caving Wales (formally Cambrian Caving Council)
Equipment Officer at equipmentofficer@cambriancavingcouncil.org.uk Many Thanks.

The hanger and resin unit will twist slightly in its hole at present and is not recommended.

Someone has asked what the above means.

It means this particular anchor is defective and it should not be used for rigging. Anyone wanting to descend that pitch thus needs to find some safe way to do it that does not involve this anchor. As noted above, it is scheduled for replacement in December.

As a general comment, I would have thought it unnecessary to remind people that fixed aids should be inspected and found to be satisfactory before being used, and normal practice in cave rigging is to have redundancy so that should one thing fail then another takes its place.
