On the theme of surface related caving photos - Here's a glimpse of one of the many unsung heroes of caving; in this instance dragging the new lid for F'ing Hopeless up onto Leck Fell the other day, without feeling the need to 'bang on' about it via BBC news or a YouTube channel...... ;)

Oh – did you find anything up there?
I was merely an observer to events, but they did enlarge and then excavate their way into a low streamway, They disappeared from view into the passage for quite a while. I was getting cold and left before they emerged, but seeing as how they were taking the full force of the stream throughout their exploits, it was a sturdy effort. No doubt something about their exploits will emerge before too long.

Which printing service did you use?
Photobox but wait for a discount code as you can save %40 or pay with discount to make later. The book here is number ten in The Mineshaft Project archive hopefully to go to County records when I am gone. They are A3 size. I dont add text though. I did an A3 book for myself and non cavers I called " Great Caving Photographs ". All from the web when I could get them high enough resolution. Some outstanding stuff in that one and yes. Mostly " foreign ". I like the fact that we are seeing here a diversion from the formulaic stuff. Grinning posed model with back light. Certainly room for the ever expanding mobile phone images. Seeing things differently is the key. Plenty of the usual on Google Image. Er sorry about the cat. My usually mis placed sense of humour but it is differant
