It seems to be me asking all te questions and not giving any other feedback, sorry about that.

I've not been down Rift Pot in Marble Steps before, but the Route 66 is proving a big appealing factor, almost as big as the description of the crawl backing up with water being th eopposite!!! How likely is the crawl to become difficult?

Bearing in mind I'm well fat after Christmas!

It's ages since I went down there, but I don't recall it being that bad. It was bone dry too - I don't know how wet conditions have to be before water in the crawl is a problem, but I reckon it can only be a big deal in quite wet conditions. Obviously best to pick a day with reasonable weather, but you don't need to wait for a drought.

In summary - get down there you mince-pie-eating beer-swilling Christmas-pudding-shaped stuffed-turkey-features lard-monster!
