Sad news folks.

Elsie Little suffered two major strokes on Wednesday. She never regained consciousness and died peacefully today.

Will post details of funeral and wake as soon as we can.

Elsie was a stalwart within the caving world. An inspiration to us all, a fighter for what she believed in and she never tired of acting for "us all" to support us in what we do.

It was a privilage to know her and I will greatly miss her.

Sad indeed. Thanks for posting this Jopo.  :(

Doubt Linda and I will be able to make the funeral as we are abroad until early July, but we shall be there in spirit.

I have some very fond memories of Elsie.

This is really sad news. Elsie was respected across the caving community and never tired of fighting for what she knew was best for caves and caving. There surely cannot be many others who have given so much to British caving.

The horrible news arrived just as we were setting up this weekend's BCA AGM weekend and I don't think it has yet fully sunk in. What is clear at this stage is that her passing represents a massive loss for BCA, Cambrian CC and SWCC - she simply did so much.

RIP Elsie - we will miss you.

It was very sad news I first new Elsie when staying at Penwylt for the first time and I was about 17 and she was busy ensuring we didn't damage any of Bill's work in the buildings. I have had many dealings with her through access arrangements and at HE. She did a lot of good work behind he scenes and without doubt she will be missed

do we have funeral details?

Mike
