There is a 2016 trip report on here to Warm Hole, but I don't know where this is in relation (apparently above Greenfield):

I don't know much about the area having only climbed a bit on some of the grit outcrops. Is Warm Hole a mine/underground quarry?

I would guess both are tectonic features in the Kinderscout Grit - both presumably overlooking the Chew Brook.

I just looked in my copy of NC 1 and note that the one time I climbed at Running Hill Pits I was unknowingly right next to the mighty Diggle Wigglepit! What have I missed?

Hi all

I posted here in 2009 about the mystical cave above Diggle (Lancashire) Still no luck finding it!

Just wondered if anyone had any new information on the cave - or anyone could post a picture of the entrance - or if anyone fancied walking upto the entrance with me and my mate??? - In exchange for Beer ofcourse!

Any help would be great!

Hi all

I looked for Diggle Wigglepit on YouTube but didn't find any gritty crevices. Something called 'Wiggle my Diggle' came up which I think means something else.

That sounds suspiciously like that occassion when I searched for glory hole in the quarrying sense and ended up with something altogether different.

When Max420 and I first started caving the hills of Saddleworth held the closest places to look at. With the likes of Fairy Hole and Diggle Wiggle Pit explored we set off to find the last of the local bunch, Warm Holes. After a long indirect walk up the side of rather steep hill we eventually found the small entrance amongst the rocks, however time had crept on so we decided to return another day.
