• Tony is on holiday until Saturday 20th

This means that the Travelling Shop will be out of action for a week and any inquiries sent to him won't be picked up until he's back.

In the meantime the rest of the Starless River team will be hard at work ensuring online orders are posted out to you all. Thanks everyone.

  • Help us work out the future of the Inglesport Café

We've been trading since 1977 and next year will be our 50th anniversary.

The café has been part of that for a long time, running quietly in the background for years, and we don't think it always gets the credit it deserves as a genuine community hub. But we need to be straight with you: the café is under real pressure, and we’re not sure of the best path forward.....

When I reach the bottom of the reply box the text does not scroll down. As I type the bottom lines jump up and down with every keystroke like a bloody jack in the box.
I cannot see a setting that may be causing this. Using Win7 and IE 8 - if that might be relevant.
Any ideas?

Not sure what this might be - I use Win7 & Firefox and it seems to work ok.

Anyone else had this problem as well and have a solution?

I also get this. Tis very fustrating, i end up typing all my longer posts in Word and pasting across...

I'm using Win7, IE8, x64.

I am running Vista.

I have tried it with the latest versions of Safari, Opera, Firefox, Google Chrome, and with IE5, IE6, IE7, and IE8.

It only fails under IE8.

Solution: use a decent browser.

Seems like a forum problem when I thought it was Vista.
It's actually a bug in IE8, it's not a problem with SMF.

Best solution - use a better browser.

Other solution - I believe you can turn on "compatibility view" in IE8 which apparently fixes the issue.

Never mind a solution, the work-around is to make the reply window bigger - drag the bottom border down the screen to do this.

Both seem to work.
