Much less jerky there, OR. Keep it up!
Depends what I am doing really Roger. The filming bit is always secondary to the caving bit. I had a little bit of time waitng for the diver to pass his kit down from the flying trapeze so its steady.
For group emails and the record books the Flickr generated montages work OK.

A little bit of background to the mine images/video. We are about 18 months into a 3 year licence which insists on anonimity. In fairness the landowner and tenants so far have been very helpful. We even had a big digger on site for a day. Essentially its a closed mine with natural caverns though those have not yet been discovered. We now think we know where they are. We are trying to drain the mine and get access via the shafts we have opened. Since winter the water level at the shafts has gone down by 4 metres. Two more metres drop would open up the flooded levels the diver has been exploring and possibly clear the route to the caverns. The videos are an easy way of maintaining a record via the still images that I get. The record is the important bit rather than technical perfection for the photography. Local folk keep an eye on our sites and one family has us in for coffee though it was home made ice cream as well this week. I can add more images via video plus video as time goes on as long as we have no interferance at our sites.

It can be scary too. Lying full length in front of an 40 cm high arch (all the space that exists in a nearly 2m high adit up to it one is gently raking out the base of the choke to the intermittent roar of collapses and torrents of muddy water. There is a mile of mine to drain and the head of water initially was probably several metres - now confirmed by the rapidity of the water level drop in the shafts up on the hill. We have learnt to scuttle backwards very rapidly. The OR's excuse for not being in the firing line is age and absence of protective clothing! To cap it all we are under somebody's garden (the shaft is in his flower bed).
