Small caves and rock shelters

Hi all,
I like to do quite a bit of hiking and it's always interesting to have a nose in a small cave/rock shelter mid hike (small enough that its just a small chamber that doesn't require all the kit to take a look) For example; Yorkhouse cave, Backwell cave, Foxes Hole, Sea caves around Sand Point, Ebor gorge caves, Rowberrow cavern etc. Does anyone have any recommendations of others to include as part of a walk? I do use the MCRA database but it's always interesting to hear of recommendations:) I have Mendip underground so interested in hearing about anything not in there (have asked for volumes of Somerset underground for my birthday)
Thanks

Best to wait for Somerset underground, but to be going on with - bake hole, pride Evan's, charterhouse rakes, king's wood above cleeve...

I’ve done a lot of this using MCRA, can’t recommend it enough for finding tiny little “collectors items” to tie into a walk. If you’re ever near Freshford near Bath there’s a series of rock shelters in Friary wood that are fun to try and locate, all in a line, plus Elas well which is hidden in a small dip not far away.

MCRA are planning a 'field trip' for end of May to explore the sites around Charterhouse. The aim is also to get photos of sites that are missing from the archive. More details soon.
Photos are always welcome e-mail: p.stillman [at] mcra . org . uk

Thanks Sid, if I come across any without photos on our travels I will send them over. I received all the volumes of Somerset Underground for my birthday so will have plenty to go on with :)
