I see they're offering '9MM Patron Rope 100m reel, EN1891 Type B Semi Static rope' for 50 quid.

That sounds like a bargain – 50p a metre; does anybody have experience of its use?

We sponsored quite a few trips abroad with it and I have used it.
It is similar to the other Patron ropes - pretty hard wearing and nice dependable rope.
Does stiffen a little over time, ,but at the price you don't have to expect it to be a long term investment.
Our outlet is just somewhere we can offer bargains to move them, so if you like the look then the price should be right.

Oh I did hear a negative comment from someone a few weeks ago about the sheath on gold/black spanset ropes. That was a different manufacturers rope. There have been no such issues since it changed. The gold and black has been made by the current manufacturer for a long time now.
