The Monsal Trail down in the Peak District should be doable for you Peter - a disused railway line with six scootable tunnels 
The Chee Dale to Millers Dale section would allow a traverse of the Chee Tor Tunnels and a stop at the excellent Anglers Rest pub before returning. You could attempt the whole trail if your scooter battery capacity allowed and Elaine would pick you up at the other end!
