Further to my Great Rutland postcard I also found this little booklet. Again it was bought (1s - that's 5p in new money) on a childhood visit probably in the early seventies. Published by Dalesman and printed by Dixon and Stell Ltd but there's no date. It mentions 'Recent Discoveries' from no later than 1956.

I have a larger, newer (some colour photos!) guide by George Gill. Again, there's no date shown but does mention Geoff Workman's stay of 105 days in 1963.
