Hello. Has anyone been down Sulber Pot recently? Had a look at it today whilst on a hike but can’t find much info online. Bolts don’t appear to be cncc.
Thanks in advance
I was down Sulber Pot just over a week ago, looking at the logistics of a CNCC tidy up of all the digging debris down there. There is a reasonable amount to be hauled out and disposed of!
If you are going down treat the fixed ladder with great caution, the plan is to also remove it . The two times I have been down recently we abseiled in using the threads by the ladder and self lined out. If anyone would like to get involved with this clean up project do PM me
That spray painted bolt is an example of how not to do it. Not only is it unsightly, you can't see what kind of bolt it is, what condition it's in or how it's fixed into the rock. I wouldn't use it, so if there were no naturals, I'd need to place another bolt - and if there were naturals, why place that one!
