The Folly, Settle have posted this on Facebook:
Here at The Museum of North Craven Life we are really excited to announce that we will be showing a selection of photographs and slides from The Horner Collection on our Heritage Open Days, Friday 16th and Saturday 17th of September 11.30 am until 3.30pm
In March 2021, with Arts Council England and a purchase grant from Victoria and Albert Museum along with a successful crowd funding campaign the museum was able to secure this fantastic collection of over 1000 photographs and glass slides.
At this years Heritage Open Days we will be celebrating 100 years of Settle photographers with a collection of photographs spanning over a century. The Horner Collection contains photographs taken by three members of the Horner family, who ran Settle's photographic studio from 1864 until 1960 capturing the changing faces and places in Settle and surrounding areas.

One of the photographs in the post is of a caver on a rope ladder in a vertical shaft

P.S. Having just got to page 33 of the latest issue of Descent, I find that there is a one page article on The Horner Collection.
