The forum

Personally, I mostly don’t post digging stuff on the forum because 99% of it is so incredibly dull: “made another meter of progress along the rift - still 4” wide ahead” etc. It’s barely of interest to the people involved, let alone the general population 😉

I love reading other people’s reports of when exciting things do happen though!

Also I'm sure there are some people that don't post on forums because of negative feedback and unsupportive comments ✌️
Maybe, but if you're talking about this forum, I think those days are long gone. Of course, if someone posts something controversial or provocative, then they can expect disagreement, but even then, I think the overwhelming majority of replies here are constructive and reasonably polite. Dig and trip reports are welcomed enthusiastically in my experience.
IMO, the forum has improved massively in the years since Jane and Tim took it over.

Thank you, Jason

I wasn't meaning any offence to forum, I was referring to negativity in a public case 🙂

Like George says generally all the dribble people don't want to see and personally with our digs I believe it's worth publishing when something exciting and meaningful is achieved. For others who do like the dribble click on the blog 😁

I have posted and will continue to post here 'hopefully' anything exciting we find. When I feel like it's something people won't mock 😉✌️

A forum such as this is like watching TV. You have a choice of programmes (topics) to choose from, you browse the programme list ( the topic headings), access the ones that interest you and watch (read). All these people who complain about bad TV programmes seem to forget that there is an off switch. The big differences between most TV and this forum is that the forum is more interesting and it doesn’t cost anything, unlike having to pay for a TV licence.

Only difference is that some people can potentially over splurge the main feed on the home page, hence an area for links to digging/diving blogs 🙂

Like advertising 😅

MikeK, you might be top of the albums chart and rising up the media items posted, but you need another 3000 messages :sneaky:
