Trying to get this up to date. Its been an onerous task and it would be good to be able to add up to date posts.

Everything posted so far is from me. This one from Peter G. Its a stitch showing the dug tunnel entrance and the lode wall left.

A less complimentary one of him from me. Lode wall right.

The pipe and slide removed.

Contemporary section of the mine but nobody is sure what way around it is nor what any of the features are. The brown line is " the heave " referring to the dislocation of the bedding on a fault.

Copy of part of original lost mine plan dated 1801 showing the heave , adit and crosscuts. This is inaccurate and cannot be related to modern surface maps. Our drive to the NW is not shown which I have added in brown. Going SE is the dig. The caverns " should " be where the brown dot is. The caverns were said to run to the east so partly with the bedding along strike.

Its Tuesday ! Hooray. Kit all packed meeting Uncle Brian and Peter G. We will need to get the floor lowered to look down the ongoing hole probed for two metres. Got a super long selfie stick to try to get a backwards look at the platform. Might be easier to do a still off video. Hope and expection usually dimmed by 4 pm. Thats digging !

Digging and resting.

That darn fly was down there again.

About 12 bags rocks and mud removed with boulders. Onward airspace looking to go SE towards the next shaft. Water level at 3.9m down from 3.8m last week but way down from 2.55m this time last year. Still looking good.

Yesterday. Another day bashing and booming plus some photos of the twenty metre platform on the 2.5m bendy pole. TG6 P Fill in flash. Skyray back light. The bendy pole works with the camera underneath so getting a better angle. A rigid pole would not be so useful.

Should not have look at the camera or dimmed the Scurian. Trouble is 12 secs is not a long time to deploy the thing.

Never two days the same. Yesterday was a photo trip with the other Friday Nighter as my gorgeous lady model Becky was ill. Took 177 photos editing them down to 50. Not bad for a single session. Got some reasonable ones. One of a lot of helectites I had never seen before and a couple of a chamber only ever seen by three people. It was only two before yesterday. Well you have to keep a few secrets. These are yesterdays. I will put a few more on the photo showcase thread when I can think of a name for them. Did you like " Helectite Salute ". All up one way. Sodding torches were flat by the time I found those. Put the wrong one in a puddle and flooded it. This is Mike though Becky would have looked nicer. He did try though.

Yes and the usual one of himself titled " How Many Drips ? "

Well being Tuesday up the dig today. The Tuesday Diggers.

Ruddy knackered from the start. Himself trying to find something new again.

I dont know how I do any of it at my age.

Here is old BJ with the plug and feathers. He loves bashing stuff.

More good progress and I swear there is a draught. More photos on Showcase next week as I am only allowed the three.
