Nick2 returning from the end. One more rock for the pile.
Grebe is a very special place. The owner has stayed true to the Stanton traditions. Perdition has remained enlarged to make access for digging easier. Sometimes months of work doing that rather than pushing at the end. He knows that keeping a dig well open and engineered is the long term answer to keep things going. Stanton thought the same. He gave up the dig we took on to reach The Frozen Deep in Reservoir Hole as it just closed down at the end. The dig was revived but again closed down at a nasty puddle. Enter another team who saw the potential and TFD was found after 37 digging sessions. Generational work.
Again grateful thanks to Chris and Nick2. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time mixed with the usual banter and erudite discussion from the proprietor. My third trip in the last 25 years. Will there be another ? Hopefully. Maybe.
The photo set here was with the TG camera and one hand held torch. I took the floodlight but did not use it. All on the move stuff as ever so perfection comes secondary to " The Moment ".
