Urgent help needed with Google Earth overlay!

I need some urgent help in connection with a planning application for the extension of quarrying. Could someone please overlay on a Google Earth image of the area near Preston under Scar in Wensleydale a survey of Keldheads Cave? The map needs to show Wensley Quarry as well as the cave.
An added bonus would be the addition of the water tracing links as shown on Fig 30.11 of Caves &Karst of the Yorkshire Dales vol 2. I need this quite urgently, and haven't a clue where to start, let alone how to get the scaling right.

Here's a very brief walkthrough of how I'm tackling this:

- Extract full resolution PNG from PDF using pdfimages.
- Work out the number of pixels per meter using the scale bar (including a ft to m conversion)
- Find location of entrance (I'm using SE 07546 91600 from the CNCC).
- Rotate image so that true north is facing the top (massively simplifies the next bit).
- Create two synthetic ground control points based on our single entrance GCP (using our pixels per meter figure).
- Use QGIS's georeferencer in linear mode to affine transform the image and georeference the result.

Assuming the entrance location grid ref is right, the scale bar is accurate, and I've done my maths right, it looks a bit like this:

I'm communicating with Kay directly to get this overlaid on the right background etc. for their use.

Shame I didn't see this earlier - already got it saved as a layer on QGIS! Sounds like you've got it in hand @aricooperdavis, let me know if you need anything further. It looks like we've both got it about the same which is reassuring.

Out of interest, why the urgency @kay? I understood the application had been withdrawn. See here:

Are they resubmitting?

Thank you so much for this! Your description of how you went about it confirms it's way outside my skill set and I wouldn't have got there in a month of Sundays!
