That is a crazy story! Hard to believe a 13 year old dog could survive 2 months underground!

Might not have been in the cave for the whole 2 months? How long can a dog go without food?

Depends what animal it was chasing, and whether said animal also ended up underground, to become a range of eked-out snacks. Not that I've ever met a dog that knew how to pace its eating. But yeah, I suspect maybe six weeks above ground and two weeks underground is a more likely scenario for it to still be alive. Maybe it really didn't like its owners. In which case it's going to be pissed off now ;)
