Van Stolen- containing Caving Kit 😭

A few days ago, my van was stolen.
As well as general personal kit I also had mine and Lins FULL caving kit.

2 X Helmets with Rude Noras
Full SRT kits
AV suits
Muck boots / Dunlop Actifort
Microtraxion/ rollclip
All the other usual stuff- socks, belts, gloves etc..

Lots of stuff was engraved with Name and number and Purple Tough Tags.

To add to my already significant distress, the CNCC SRT kits were also in the van.
Stops
Frenios
Jammers
Harnesses
Etc.

This kit was also engraved and had Pink Tough Tags with CNCC on it

Please keep an eye out for anything coming up for sale that looks “suspicious”.

That’s tough. Where did it get nicked from? I’ve heard of contents being found close by when the thieves launch the stuff as they’re only interested in the van.

I have had a drive round all the “usual” dumping spots, and put on local FB groups etc.

Have you considered posting on UK Climbing? I've seen similar posts to yours on there. The thieves possibly won't make much distinction between caving and climbing kit as they try to dispose of it.
 
Sorry to hear about this Ian. A neighbour of ours had their van stolen from home a month ago, so seems to be happening more and more. We’ll keep a look out. Fingers crossed you get your van and kit back.

No sign of van or kit 😞.

However, just a quick message to say a huge thanks for all the messages of support, offers of lending kit and really practical offers of help.

It is very much appreciated 🙏.

New caving kit ordered and a new van purchased today has moved things forward whilst simultaneously draining my bank account 🤦

Years ago I had gear stolen from a car in Dentdale with no recovery. At least now with the internet the message can get out far and wide and there's a chance of a better outcome. Good luck!
