We are short of some volunteers this year.
Prizes Team. The team is short of a person this year. We could do with a volunteer to do data entry on Sunday morning. This is intensive and intricate work - you'll need to work fast and accurately, and with initiative. Some of you will know what a tight schedule we have to work to, to get everything completed by the time of the Closing Ceremony.
Photo Salon Co-ordinator and Judges. It is quite a few years since we have had a dedicated Photo Salon co-ordinator so, each year, we seem to end up playing it by ear, cutting corners, and generally hoping that nobody notices. It would be good to find someone who was prepared to step in and run the Photo Salon. The tasks include finding a set of judges that meet our requirements; liaising with them in advance of the event to make sure they understand the rules and the procedures for judging; and supervising them over the Saturday of the event. This is intensive and stressful work as the judging has to be complete by 5pm Saturday in order for us to build the Closing Ceremony. Also, you'll need to be present in the salon area on Saturday morning to supervise the displaying of the entries, and to answer questions from the entrants.
