Washing up liquid 'the real hero' of girl's rescue

You'd hope they have a bottle of the blue gloop sometimes used if you hire a dry suit (they don't want people damaging the neck seal). I think the ingredients are some relative of KY jelly, but cheaper and won't embarrass anyone prudish

Washing up liquid can upset skin - note the warnings on the back of a washing up liquid bottle. (Although better to risk some irritation than remain trapped by rock!)

We used to use Fairy Liquid (other types are available) to help put on our single-skin wetsuits. Bit messy, & got a bit foamy when immersed. We soon moved over to cheap Boots talcum powder (cue fragrant talc fights in Swildons changing barn…).

They use Fairy Liquid as lubricant when they're sliding those massive prefabricated bridge sections into place.

And your hands will feel as soft as your face
That's not what it says on the back of the bottle 🤣

My dad always used it to wash his hair. There was a bottle of it in the bathroom. Visitors probably thought we used it to clean the bath.
