That's the one, Loki. Well done. It has Rupert's permanent red rope accompanying us, a peculiar groove in the floor at the head of the pitch, and a rebelay a metre down.

Some might say getting to this point is more difficult than it looks. Others may have been calling for an act of divine intervention to get them out!

Your clues tell me where it is, but not having been there, and hence not recognising it, it would be against the spirit of the thread to claim it.

Just to be clear the name of the cave is the easier (original) way to reach that point, not the cave alluded to in my clue- if that helps!

Nope. It’s well known. Most northern cavers will im sure have been there or it’s on the list at least. Great little trip for the little ones. Or something harder for the mums n dads. Carry on beyond this point and you may only have one option if you make the correct decision.

Ah, thank you. I was intially thrown by the small subject making that passage look bigger - and by the use of perspective in the photo.
