Which valley is this cave in?

It does look very like something I first visited in the late eighties/early nineties. We thought it was a new find until we encountered a very rusty wire ladder further in! I eventually got in touch with Harry Long who'd been one of the original discoverers (in the seventies I think). According to Harry the cave had been kept quiet to preserve the formations. I'm not expecting you to give anything away but does this sound like the place in your photo?

That’s the place. I think there’ll be an article appearing in Descent at some point. It’s a cracking cave, but not for the faint-hearted…

It's many years since I was in there. I recall having to crawl flat out at one point to avoid the very long straws that were just above us. Harry said that Ian Plant had dived the downstream sump but hadn't gained anything. Harry gave me a hand blasting a sink not far away which also goes to the same rising as this cave.
Here's the next location

Interesting. We thought the sump was un-dived. Mind you, there seems to have been quite a lot of misinformation put out about the cave over the years!

I think that's what Harry told me but it was 30 or 40 years ago and memory is fickle? I don't recall seeing a dive line in the sump. I've seen Harry post occasionally on here - perhaps you could contact him directly?

Clue time

The water drops down about 20 m before hitting anything.

It is very close to one of the most visited potholes in the Dales
