Hunt Pot is a great pitch, and the exchange with Shrapnel a great trip.

This isn't a very good photograph, but it should be gettable by anyone who knows the route.

I also thought Jingling; now I think that langcliffe has flipped his picture horizontally, and it's the last pitch of Juniper Gulf.😄

Well done, Pitlamp! This is the platform looking towards the Long King East waterfall, on the middle of the three possible descents for the last part of the Rift Pot. It's a scary impressive place.

Over to you.

It's both scary and impressive I'd say. Lots of big boulders due to brecciation along the fault.

OK I'll have a rummage & see what I can find . . .

This one's tricky; there is a clue in the picture if you look closely. I can give more clues if folk are struggling

Is that wall actually part of a circular enclosure surrounding another hole? Seems to be a fair bit of vegetation in there, so they must keep the sheep out in any case. So I guess we're looking for within the wall rather than whatever the hole on the left is. Or both...

Getting warmer - the clue is indeed the walls - there's two close together. That's because it's a road.
The cave to be identified is the hole on the left; the hole on the right isn't big enough to get in so doesn't count as a cave. More clues later - if folk are still struggling. It's not an easy one this but it's in the "classic" Dales caving area.

Looks like folks are struggling here - so more clues - the short cave in question is a flood rising and it's in what many people refer to as "the" three peaks area.

Most forum members who have caved in the Dales will have passed within 3 metres of this cave.

I have no idea what it's called but is this cave about 1/2 mile along the b6479 from the coffee wagon at Ribblehead?

I was thinking the trees at the top can't be Kingsdale as I can only think of trees at Braida garth?

I was thinking maybe Alum Pot lane as a very popular place? looking west to the SSSI, though I'm equally unconvinced about that. The walls look very high

That's good enough Graham S - well done. It's Batty Beck Rising, a short cave leading to a sump which has been dived for a few metres. Flood Rising for Football Cave (which is in NC V2).

The (tested) permanent spring for this system is Goat Close Rising about half a kilometre away.

You have a go.

Interesting area around Ribblehead. All in Great Scar limestone, but is there nothing major, or deep rather, because of lack of deep valleys in the vicinity? Or some other control? Just pontificating from my armchair.
