What caving related thing did you do today?

Mega mending session; two oversuits, knee pads, long Beaver neoprene socks (as they're no longer available), a drysuit, umpteen pairs of neoprene gloves, etc.

The house smells of a wonderful cocktail of cement fumes and solvents.

Have tried the new drum in Austwick Beck head yet ?

'Fraid not; the summer / autumn inclemency has been against us.

We were actually planning to dive there today as it happens but yesterday's incessant drizzle brought up rivers and made them brown, yet again (sigh).

Visited a smaller cave with a ferocious wind, to try and find where the air is going, while it's very cold. We went on a cold day, and saw that the cigar smoke was quickly being pulled to the lower level, though after that, it was a little tougher to tell... I did find another lead that looks like it goes, but will require some moving of rocks to get much further.

Photos of icicle formations near the entrance. Did I mention it was cold....?

Took a book (Underground Adventure) off the shelf to lend to a friend and noticed that my copy of "Subterranean Climbers" is missing and I have no idea who I leant it too...
I also spotted another caving book that I borrowed years ago, that I really must return!

Chopped up a few lengths of scaff with the angle grinder ready to resume work at a project (but not tomorrow, having seen the forecast).
Also remembered to clean up the ends with the half round file so nobody slices their fingers!

If your approach is from the right direction (SSW?) you'll just fly up to your dig

Went to Warmbac in Glastonbury to pick up a new XXXS undersuit for my daughter, then took it for a test-run down Rod's Pot.

After meeting a group doing an exchange trip to Bath Swallet, we made an unplanned exit via that route.

Undersuit passed the test and my daughter has a new favourite trip, but we've agreed to take a harness instead of belt next time.

Thanks to @andrewmcleod for the use of the ladders (y)
