What caving related thing did you do today?

Read Underground Adventures. Top read. I hadn’t appreciated that all the county pot stuff was actually found through Oxford pot.

Visited Thor's cave with Sue, Ralf and Nala.

Exhausted myself bouldering in an indoor cave at the end of a climbing session, put together an article for our club newsletter 'An ode to small caves (and entrances) ' whilst crashed out afterwards!

Attended the BCRA field trip to Stump Cross Caverns led by Phil Murphy. A very interesting day learning about Stump Cross Cavern and its' formation followed by a surface walk around the digs and mines in the immediate area. Thanks to Phil and BCRA and to Stump Cross Caverns for giving us access.

Watched the Bull Pot Farm rain gauge go past 90 mm (and counting) so packed all the diving gear way as it's unlikely to be needed for a while.

As I type the BPF gauge is recording 94.5 mm. The highest recorded since it was set up was 98.3 mm.
It's still raining . . . .

To try and keep on topic (sorry for digressing a bit but Dales rainfall has been pretty exceptional) first thing this morning I checked the BPF gauge and yesterday's grand total was 106.9 mm. It may not have been as catastrophic as might be imagined as it was spread out over most of the 24 hour period. But we'll see as the day unfolds . . . . .

Trains between Leeds & Lancaster were cancelled yesterday due to flooding, with passengers being diverted via Preston and on other rail services than Northern.
