Ideas please....what prizes would you like to see offered on UKC??

Or would you like to see a break to competitions for a while?? Just wondering....

Thanks, Pegasus

All my lost gear?? Though I doubt you would have a warehouse large enough. Well at least it was useful on Saturday, we had no issue finding our way out as we just followed (and collected) all the bits and bobs that had fallen out of my inside pocket on the way in.

But seriously SRT gear? Its always useful having some even if you don't need it yet, its ready to go to replace and broken bits.
Rope is still a good one, it's always needed.

Oversuits and undersuits are needed also but often not good due to different sizing, so maybe instead things like knee pads, elbow pads? tend to be one size fits all. They always wear out and are needed.

However of course your issue is getting ahold of any of these. Currently, I would prefer a new powerful light but that's a bit too expensive?

Gear that people may like to have around but not often enough justify the cost to themselves (so they borrow off mates).

Ideas of varying cost:
Bolting hammer and associated gear. (A follow on from Makita competition).
Etriers.
Surveying gubbins, distos, Z6 phones/pdas/otterboxes.
Pelicases
One of those knives ah147 showed us in his video post - trilobite.
Pulley jammers?
Foot jammers.

Basically anything that isn't in my gear stash ;)

I recently just bought a stitching awl for fixing gear and some tigerseal and theyrrrrre grrrreat!. Maybe something like this could make a small prize for someone aquasure might be better. ~?20/?25?

For group competitions bulk quantities of mallions/krabs, or a handful of oversuits/or helmets may be appreciated. In fact some of the above items may be preferable (survey/bolting gear) if the club has a regular gear cycle of common stuff anyway. What use would 5 helmets be to a small group when you bought 20 less a year ago for example?

Photographic cave models that don't mind lying in water, hanging on pitches and generally being uncomfortable for my amusement ;) oh and everything that's been put above....shiny... the shinier the better! :)

On the subject of photography, what about some nice framed posters or photographs?

Paper Surveys?

I'll offer a guided trip down P8? :p
To the end? That would be an impressive prize!
I'd prefer a trip to the end AND BACK!

If you're actually going all the way to the end of the cave, then surely once you've made it out of whichever one of Slop Moll or Russet Well that the P8 water ends up - there's little point in returning back through?

Travel Insurance for summer expeditions?

Descent subscription?

I wouldn't know what to do with a camera, but I'm sure it would be a great prize for some.
