Which (Mendip) cave have you visited this week?

One of our party was surface support and didn't go down, they stayed on the top and kindly lifelined those of us that didn't use SRT down and up the cave. I think it was the warm evening we've had so far this spring!
that would seem a good move - cant really leave it open as near public footpath. That is brilliant that you used to have to get the key from Frankie Howard! I have yet to find the FH cafe open but it is high on my bucket list ...

9.30-3 Wednesday- Sunday, they tend to update their Facebook page for closures

Glad you had a good trip, I enjoyed your video 🙂 Will you be returning for more trips?
Indeed. I think I'm planning to do Goatchurch or Shatter next week. :) I'd love to go back to Swildon's in Summer when it's hot outside so when you're soaked from inside the cave, you don't freeze when you get out! ! ;) lol

Last summer the upper series was pretty dry so you had to really go down the 20 to cool down!

Bath to Rods last night, much drier than when we were last there. Trying out my new harness bought from @Starless_River last weekend. Plenty of bats flying around the cave entrance and cave due to the milder weather and some very loud owls in the woods.

Got my oversuit nice and clean in Swildons on Wednesday then absolutely coated in mud in Stock Hill mine cave last night. Respect to those that have dug there, it must be hard work. Really enjoyed the cave, especially the slippery slopes and muddy tubes!

Daughter asked to revisit Dolebury Levy after walking near the entrance on a hike yesterday, so we went back there today. She had been in there when she was really tiny but couldn't remember it. A bit of a squeeze to enter a long mined tunnel, didn't wear full caving kit but took a tarp to keep the mud off from getting in. Quite a bit to see despite the short length, plenty of cave life (spiders, moths, fungi nr the entrance) further in flow stone, a micro crystal pool, cave pearls and some excellent reverbation if you like to sing.

Great trip into Charterhouse last night led by another forum member. Got as far as the narrows before turning around. Such an impressive cave, visited it years ago with @Maj but seeing everything so well illuminated by more modern torches made it seem like a different cave. Photos just quick snaps as we went.

Totty Pot for a brief look into it on my birthday on Friday, Hunters for lunch and then an Easter egg hunt with club families in Goatchurch in the afternoon, all eggs were found 🙂

Looked at Totty Pot a while ago as its near Vurley. One very cold day one of the group saw " steam " coming out of the entrance suggesting hidden depths. I think it remains as an archeological site so cant be dug but still seems not to be locked . As above Sid would know.

Absolute privilege to be able visit Reservoir Hole for the first time last night, thank you to those who spent so much time renegotiating the access (and the original diggers of course) It was hard to know where to turn there was so much variety and detail to see.
