White Father's Cave, Cavan

It's a nice little cave that I have visited a couple of times, The contrast between low and high water conditions is impressive. This photo is in wet condtions a couple of years ago.

As I recall, there are 3 caves, although 2 are really very short indeed. Even the longest isn't any great length, but it is well worth a visit for anyone who happens to be in the area. I have a vague recollection that we used to do a through trip on the way to or from the Bush Bar in Blacklion occasionally. Our club hut was Thornhill, between Blacklion and Glenfarne, if anyone here remembers that.

I visited White Fathers on a Fermanagh trip (1981 I think). We stayed somewhere just in the Republic that I recall was like a rather faded country house. Was that Thornhill?

It sure sounds like it... although "rather faded" is a kind description, to say the least 😂 It was the Queen's University Belfast CC club hut. Happy days 🥴

And there is the Devil's Tooth. At least I think is what it is called.
