White Pit was subject to a semi controlled boulder choke collapse which closed off Talus (the pretty stuff) for a few weeks.
A team of us have worked hard over several weeks to remove much of the boulders to the surface and re build the choke area with metal supports and plenty of cement, it is now deemed much much safer and access to all parts of the cave are open.
However it is still advised to take caution through the newly supported choke.
White Pit is a leader only cave, with the rules being if you have been down before then you are a leader.
Please contact the BEC or any of the diggers for a key or a trip if you have not been there before.
