So if the torture is self-imposed, does that mean we all talk to ourselves all the time?

Hi everyone thanks for all your answers so far. From what i've read in this thread and all over the site, I get the feeling that cavers are a fun bunch of people.
I think that I might go caving myself and find out whats its all about.
