My actual thoughts at the time:

"Is this really the time to be playing with a camera?!?"

With hindsight, Tarquin's photos brought the rescue to life for a national audience and doubtless helped raise countless donations to the cave rescue teams involved. They also meant that I didn't need to explain to my boss why I wasn't coming in on Monday!
