Yorkshire 3 peaks and 3 caves?

I'm planning a challenge for next year and I'm after recommendations of caves around each peak. I'm pretty set on bar pot to GG main shaft for Ingleborough.
Penyghent pot sounds good but a very hard trip in its own right. So I'm undecided about that one.

As for whernside, what would you do? Yordas? Kingsdale?

Any advice greatly recieved

I enjoyed the "3 Peaks - 3 Pathetic Pots" trip done by a member of ULSA and (I believe) a first-time caver a few years ago.

Pen-y-Ghent Summit/Calf Holes through trip; Ingleborough Summit/Sunset Hole; Whernside/Yordas Middle-to-Bottom (there weren't any caves deemed pathetic enough situated on the actual flanks of Whernside).

They only took a chocolate bar each and the fresher was hallucinating about sausages and onions on the final stretch.

Of course the three peaks are not even the highest summits in Yorkshire, so you needn't worry about the deepest / hardest pots!

I believe 'Ryan Quinoa' and 'Sir Ivanhoe' actually did Birkwith and Great Douk rather than Calf Holes and Sunset, reducing the tackle requirements. Sir Ivanhoe was a first time caver but a very experienced 'river crosser' and 'vertical bushbasher' from New Zealand so I don't know if I'd consider him a fresher. He went on to do Swildons and Giants later in the week.

If you wanted a truly pathetic cave that is actually on Whernside you could try Batty Wife Cave, near to the Station Inn at Ribblehead.

Unsupported Three Peaks and Three Pots in 31 hours (see link above).  Chapeaux.  Fully supported Three Counties Grand Traverse only 17.5 hours.

Are they comparable achievements?

Surely you need to select whichever cave is the highest on each hill?

I've no idea what they would be though.  This method might throw up something suitably esoteric / daft :)

Traditionally it's the deepest on each hill, isn't it.  Highest on Ingleborough is Fluted Hole I think.  Not much of a challenge

Pen y Ghent isn't even in the top 5: https://dotguide.co.uk/yorkshire/content.pl?action=highestmountains

Heron Pot would presumably do for a pleasant trip overlooked by the summit of Whernside.

I have a map with a point for Greensett Cave, just below the summit of Whernside (presumably in the Main Limestone towards the top of the Yoredale, rather than the Great Scar limestone)?

Fk tradition. The challenge is up to the individual and what they find challenging, interesting or otherwise, surely?

We?ll the deepest cave on each has been done. What would be the hardest 3 pots? Subjective I know.

What would a medium difficulty option be? Rowten, White Scar and Hull Pot? I don't know much about the caves on Pen Y Ghent so there might be a better one.

How about 3 peaks 3 showpots? Ingleborough could be White Scar or Ingleborough Cave, Whernside could be Yordas if we say an ex show cave is OK, but I don't think there is a show cave or ex show cave on Pen Y Ghent, does anyone know one?

It would actually be quite a difficult challange to get around them within their opening hours. More like a fell run broken up with cave tours, which would eat into your time quite a lot and cause you muscle problems due to going from running to cold caves and back again. The best way to do it would probably be to start in Clapham, run up to Ingleborough cave for its first tour of the day so you get the long tour out of the way before you warm up too much, then go to Pen Y Ghent to do some show cave if it exists before doing Whernside and then Yordas as it doesn't have opening hours.

That's on Gragareth. Bruntscar would qualify if former show caves are permitted,  and is also better placed being closed to the Three Peaks voie normale.
