The Miners' Memorial Service is an annual event which moves around the major Churches in the Yorkshire area. This year it is at Wakefield Cathedral (this coming) Sunday 19th Oct at 2:00 p.m. For those not familiar with Wakefield, the Cathedral is right in the City Centre - around 15mins slow walk from both Kirkgate or Westgate railway stations - 5 mins from the Bus Station. Nearest and flatest walk Car Park is Borough Road WF1 3AZ (which is just the opposite side of the Bullring from the Cathedral), 5mins walk away.
