zip tie saves the trip

Last week on a Simpsons through trip one of my bags decided today was the day to have it's stitching fail..
This was annoying to say the least but also having to re pack the rope it was also slowing the group down.
Then I remembered I had a zip tie in my safety barrel. A few minutes later and the bag was repaired and it survived the rest of the trip!

I’ve got one that I’ve punched holes in around the bottom. Pressed brass eyelets into them and then threaded it together with chunky zip ties.
