Hey - nice one ULSA.  We brought some crap out of there a few years ago but didn't realise there was so much more.  Well done.  If any of you are at Hidden Earth call by the Ukcaving stand for a small reward.

Those photos are some of the happiest of Nathanael I have ever seen.
the man is mentally ill. I have seen him eat a plastic pie.

Guess the year... Mars bars for 20p...

Brought out a container from the rubbish pile by the sump in Daren Cilau which had the following in on later inspection....

(Plus some old pants, not pictured!)

Lots more rubbish still there to bring out

Was any of it still edible?

Not sure, I have not opened any of the wrappers and not sure if I want to. The best before for the Mars was 1989 the rest appears of similar vintage

So it's been in there for three decades.

Amazing. Not far off becoming archaeology. Litter picking is a new concept, obviously. Well done for bringing it out and sideways glances at everyone who hadn't done so before now. Is the cave subject to a conservation policy with an overseeing body? Guess not.

Probably worth preserving as some sort of caving time capsule. They've even got playing cards to while the time away.

not cave conservation as such but conservation of an area cavers will use.

headed over to chapel le dale to smash out a few level 1 caves, and was a successful day, except when I returned to the car park, I realised just how much shit there was thrown around on the ground.

seriously, humans are absolute fucking disgraces.

I spent a good 20 minutes scouring up and down the section of road and filled a bag with costa cups, maccy d's wrapper, water bottles, packaging from hiking kit and my personal favourite bags of dog shit chucked at the base of the wall.

Seriously how hard is it to take your rubbish with you. If you have a dog take responsibility you fucking animals.

If you're coming out to enjoy the countryside don't fuck it up so others can't.

as i was finishing the sun just crept through the clouds and shined down on the hillside and I could get this lovely shot with a bag of shite in the foreground.

trying to upload photo but it's not letting me..
