Where did all the free rope go?
« on: April 04, 2017, 05:10:59 pm »
The great Ukcaving rope give away is over.

But where did all that rope go?

In total 2.13km of brand new 11mm rope was donated to 16 different groups or individuals for both cave and mining projects in the UK.  The spread across the country was particularly pleasing with lengths of rope, from 60 - 280m, going to cavers in Devon and Cornwall, Mendips, FoD, North and South Wales, Peak District, the Dales and Scotland.  Do let us know how your projects turn out.

Coming soon - Ukcaving is hoping to sponsor hard up summer expeditions, keep an eye out for details.

Where did all the free rope go, Long time passing?
Where did all the free rope go, Long time ago?
Gone to cavers every one,
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Oh, when will they ever learn?

In search of taverns measureless to man

Again, thanks for the rope.

Some is stashed underground and I have some at home. Will give a proper report of some things in the not to distant future hopefully.
