caves of the avon gorge
« on: October 21, 2006, 12:15:07 am »
Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the now out of print 'caves of the avon gorge pt.1 and pt2.'?
If anyone has a copy of either parts, I'd be happy to buy them, a photocopy would be ok as well!

Cheers!

The Caves in this area are not gated and are relatively small
but i am sure there are some bigger ones waiting to be discovered!

Here is a picture of Pool Cave its a short climb about 80ft up the Gorge.

The Cave has a large entrance and ends abruptly in a bolder choke.

Worthy of a dig ?????

The Limestone here is slightly different than Mendip

Another cave ,Mercavity Cave has a newly started dig

To my amazement Mike Moore (moorebooks.co.uk) had them on his shelves at Hidden Earth. You might be lucky, but I probably boughts his only copies.

Sorry! I was talking about pool Cave its slightly to the right of Mercavity and looks like its never been touched

I had a look in Mercavity a couple of weeks ago, not much progress for a dig site, do you think it will ever go??

Does anyone know where Hades Cave is?? its next door to the above Caves but i do not know where the entrance is.

I still have the master copy.  I think I have only made one copy in the last 10 years.  If there is enough interest, I will try another print run.

Sounds like at least five copies would sell rhychydwr1.

Would that be worth doing?
Any idea on a price?
