I'm more worried about Avoiding Huge Ships, Bedford is, after all on the River Great Ouse, which is navigable to the sea, :o, well, as far as the town bridge anyway.

The last time we had Ships come all the way up from the sea, they were full of Bloody Vikings, Burning and a Pillaging and generally improving the Town

That's a gem of a link!
I liked ''Living With Crazy Buttocks (Kaz Cooke - Penguin)''

What planet are these people on?

Good link - but worryingly, I actually own and have read one of these books, and could see myself reading another two.

1989 (being a sea kayaker and wild camping on small islands), 1994 and 2000 (being a structural engineer)

I particularly like the winner in 2009:

"Crocheting Adventures with Hyperbolic Planes"

Sounds an excellent present for my needlework mad partner  ;D
