Have you written a cave route description?

If you'd like to share it for use on the CNCC website please send it in so it can help others. You can see a list of the current ones at: https://cncc.org.uk/caving/descriptions - take a look through and see if there is one missing that you can help with. Perhaps you know a sneaky exciting new route!

The aim is to build up a repository of descriptions following a uniform layout to cover most major caves in the dales.  8)

All the relevant info and a form to submit online is at: https://cncc.org.uk/caving/descriptions/submit-description.php (please use the form rather than submitting here).

Thanks,
Gary (CNCC webmaster)

Hi Jason C, agreed the Braemoor guides are absolutely excellent and I've used them several times myself. However, we have tried as much as possible to avoid having links to external websites, as these are beyond our control and if the target page addresses move about then the links start to break. The more external links we have the more work it is to keep on top of checking they are still active and working. Also, additionally, it is important to us from a liability perspective that anyone using a cave description from the CNCC (or even linked to from the CNCC) is exposed to our safety information page. Therefore, there are many factors that mean links to external pages aren't possible.

Maybe you can ask if you can have permission to re-produce them? I think it's Lancliffe who owns it.
